Collection: Family

This painting is about the artist's parents and the unification of the two families through the creation of three children, Linda and her siblings. The two lizards represent not only the mother and the father but the two similar but very different world's they both came from.

The dots and symbols behind the two lizards symbolises the unbroken and endearing connection the two families had and continue to have now. While the journeys of Linda's parents ultimately led them on different paths, they are forever bound together through their children, grandchildren and generations that follow.
Linda Davidson is a Kamilaroi and Dharug woman, based on Larrakia Land (Darwin, NT).
